  15. The President's News Conference
April 27, 1945

[President Truman's third news conference was not recorded and no copy of the text has been
found.

[The Official Reporter's notes state that he was notified too late and that he came in on the
President's last words. They also state that the conference was held about 4:15 p.m., and that
the President announced the appointment of Edwin W. Pauley as his Personal Representative on
the Reparations Commission, with the rank of Ambassador, and of Dr. Isador Lubin as an
Associate, with the rank of Minister.]
