Description

Secretary of the Interior Julius Krug (standing at podium) speaking at the dedication of the home of the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a national shrine. Seated behind him are, from left to right: Marian Anderson (partly seen), Reverend George Anthony, National Park Service Director Newton B. Drury, former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Major General Harry Vaughan, Clark Clifford, and Admiral William D. Leahy. Standing behind Clark Clifford, next to the pillar is Franklin D. Roosevelt, Junior. Former President Roosevelt's Scottish Terrier dog Fala is sitting on the ground next to Mrs. Roosevelt, his leash tied to the chair.
