Description
President Harry S. Truman made a one-day campaign trip through Pennsylvania, and made this stop in Scranton. In this photo he lays a wreath on the statue of the late John Mitchell who was at one time President of the United Mine Workers Union. The men off to the left are unnamed coal miners.
