During ceremonies at the Pentagon, Secretary of the Army Frank Pace presented Medals of Honor to the families of two soldiers who died in Korea, Second Lieutenant Jerome A. Sudut and Sergeant Cornelius H. Charlton. From left to right: Macio Charlton, Miss Dephnia J. Charlton, Thomas Charlton, Mrs. Clara Charlton, Mr. Van Charlton, Secretary Pace, Chester Charlton, Miss Diana Sudut, Joseph Sudut, Jr., Mrs. Regina Sudut, and Mr. Joseph Sudut.
