Description
The destroyer, USS Bass, was hit by Wonsan shore batteries in Wonsan Harbor, Korea. There were ten causalities. Those that were seriously injured were transferred to USS Manchester for treatment. Image shows the USS Bass alongside USS Manchester as injured are hoisted to Manchester in gurney baskets. All are unidentified.
