Description
Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, during Korean War. Primary ACAN Relay Station UAP. A portion of the multiple tape preparation console is shown in the left foreground. Two banks of AN/TGC-1 tape relay units run the entire length of the station. One of four tape preparation positions utilizing Model 19 Teletypewriters is pictured in the right foreground. Tape routing racks, supervisor's desks and perforating positions are spaced strategically at three points through the center of the stations. Soldiers are at work.
