TRUMAN LIBRARY ANNOUNCES STAFF ADDITIONS
(Independence, Mo.) - The Harry S. Truman Library and Truman Library Institute have recently filled three positions on their staff.
- Joni Miller has been named visitor services supervisor for the Truman Library and Museum. Her new responsibilities include supervision of sales and admissions staff, working with tour providers and tourism bureaus, and assessing visitor opinions and interests. Previously, Miller worked as sales manager for the Adams Mark Hotel.
- Ellen Hamilton has joined the Truman Library Institute as associate director of development. Her new responsibilities include assisting in the capital campaign, planned giving program, and special events. Prior to joining the Truman Library Institute, Hamilton was national foundation director for Sertoma International.
- Carri Baird has been named administrative assistant for the Truman Library Institute. Previously, Baird worked as a legal secretary for Hillix, Brewer, Hoffhaus, Whittaker, & Wright, L.L.C.
The Truman Library and Museum is located at U.S. Highway 24 and Delaware in
Independence, Mo. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m., Thursdays from 9 a. m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The museum is
closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50
for seniors, $3 for children ages 6 to 18, and free for children 5 years and under.
The Harry S. Truman Library is one of ten Presidential Libraries administered by
the National Archives and Records Administration.
