Reel 1
- Harry S. Truman introduces James Pendergast (nephew of Tom Pendergast) by recounting his military career and political career (about 1 minute). James Pendergast speaks on “Pendergastism.” Says that everyone has their own idea of what was the real Pendergast, but every two years certain politicians label their opponents with what they use as the derogatory title of “Pendergastism.” He claims that the Pendergast system went out 20 years before and that the men he supports are fine men and worthy of support.
