Arthur Ginsburg, a collector of political memorabilia, received letters and campaign literature from political organizations and Presidential candidates during 1948-1960 period.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

The papers of Arthur Ginsburg mainly consist of correspondence and printed campaign materials received by Ginsburg in 1948 and 1952. Included among the materials in this collection are letters from campaign officials thanking Ginsburg for his support.

Ginsburg contacted and received information from the Presidential campaigns of Thomas Dewey, Dwight Eisenhower, Averell Harriman, Estes Kefauver, Douglas MacArthur, Harold Stassen, Adlai Stevenson, Robert Taft, and Henry Wallace. The collection also includes a Christmas card received from Senator Kefauver in 1955 and a letter received from the office of Vice President Richard Nixon in 1959. A small accretion—mostly consisting of photographs of Dewey, Harry S. Truman, and Earl Warren—was added to the collection in 2009.
