Shot List

0:00   Voice of producer Ben Gradus encouraging Harry S. Truman to tell a story about warning the War Production Board to get ready for reconversion, around 1943. He mentions General Electric. Mr. Gradus wants Mr. Truman to tell the story because it will tie in with Mr. Truman’s chairmanship of the Truman Committee in the Senate. Mr. Truman’s voice occasionally can be heard saying things like “okay” or “I can say that in five minutes,” but this segment is largely Ben Gradus speaking.
2:00   Male voice says what sounds like: “Sticks 1138.” This recollection was probably to be used in episode 1 of the television series.
