0:00   Interviewer, possibly Merle Miller, asks Harry S. Truman to tell about the decision to drop the atomic bomb.
0:15   Mr. Truman confirms that he had told the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Roosevelt and Churchill had informed him that they felt the atomic bomb ought to be used if it would stop the war; he says he ordered it to be dropped when he was returning from Potsdam.
0:39   Interviewer asks if Roosevelt and Churchill had decided to drop the bomb. Mr. Truman: "No they hadn’t. I made the decision."
