by Congressman A.S.J. Carnahan of Missouri for the Democratic
members of the Missouri Delegation at 8:00 a.m. in the Speaker's
Dining Room.)

(Called Mr. Connelly last week and asked for this)
11:15 am Senator and Mrs. Edward Keating, of Missouri
(State Senator; arranged thru Mr. Boyle)
11:30 am (Mr. Paul Nachtman) OFF THE RECORD
(Came to see Mr. Connelly and saw the President OFF RECORD)
11:45 am Congressman Arthur G. Klein, New York
(Called Mr. Connelly last week to ask if might stop by and pay
respects, as has not seen the President for about four years)
12:00 pm Honorable George R. Merrell, American Ambassador to Afghanistan
(In Washington and asked, thru Protocol, to pay respects
before going out to new post)
12:15 pm Honorable Dr. K. T. Jutila, the Minister of Finland
(Returning to Finland and asked through Protocol to see the
President prior to departure. Presented two books to the
President)
12:30 pm Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Day
Mr. and Mrs. John V. Ellison
(Mrs. Ellison wrote the President that her father, Mr. Day,
would be in Washington; that her father had known the
President when he occupied the farm next to the Truman
farm at Grandview.)
12:45 pm Honorable J. Monroe Johnson, Interstate Commerce Commission
(Called Mr. Connelly last week and asked for this)
