the President an original painting of Norman Rockwell which
appeared around election time in 1943 as cover on Saturday Evening
Post. Mr. Rockwell contributed it originally to their "Fight for
Sight" art auction, and the National Council wishes to give it
to the President in appreciation for his signing bill for research
for cause and cure of blindness)
