(The Congressman sent the President a long wire immediately
after his victory in primary, and in replying to this the
President said he would be glad to see Congressman upon
return from Western Trip.)

(Called to request this appoinment, off the record.)
12:00 pm Honorable Charles Fahey, Chairman, the President's Committee
on Equality of Treatment and Opportunity in the Armed Forces.

    On this date the President's Committee on Equality of Treatment and Opportunity in the Armed Services (Fahy Committee) submitted its final report, "Freedom to Serve," containing recommendations for fully integrating the U.S. military.
