12:00 pm H.E. Hon. Eliahu Elath, the Ambassador of Israel
(Asked for this, thru Mr. Woodward, to present to the
President an album of photographs of opening ceremonies
of the Martha Truman Recreation Room at the Tel Hashomer
Hospital in Tel Aviv, on behalf of the President of
Israel. The Ambassador will be leavig soon to go to
London as Ambassador from Israel to the Court of St. James)
12:15 pm Hon. Ruth Bryan Rohde
(Called Mr. Connelly two weeks ago from New York City
to ask for this. Was Minister to Denmark in Roosevelt
Administration)
12:25 pm The Under Secretary of State
12:30 pm The Secretary of Defense [Louis Johnson]

3:05 pm The President left for Congressional Library where he took
part in a convocation celebrating publication of first
volume of complete works of Thomas Jefferson.
3:30 pm [Public Papers: Address on the Occasion of the Publication of the First Volume of the Jefferson Papers]
8:25 pm (The President and Mrs. Truman left Blair House for 1925
F Street Club, where they will attend dinner given by
Mrs. A. Mitchell Palmer)
