Mayor Charles M. J. H. Hustinix, of Nijmegen, Holland
Honorable Jonkhean O. Reuchlin, Minister of the
Netherlands
Mr. Paul V. Betters, Exec. Director, U. S. Conference
of Mayors
Mayor Hustinix is guest of U. S. Conference of
Mayors. The Mayor flew here to thank City of
Albany, which had adopted Nijmegen, for having sent
250 tons of relief supplies to that battered city.
He is also visiting Major General James Gavin,
Commanding General of the Airborne Division at
Fort Bragg. General Wallace was in the
action at Nijmegen, where 800 American soldiers
lost their lives. He came over for this meeting.)
