White House Renovation -- Letter 2, Response

COPY -- Original letter is on file at the Truman Presidential Library

April 7, 1952

My dear Mr. Stanton:

Thank you for your kind letter of March thirty-first. The renovation of the White House was a tremendous undertaking, but now that it has been completed I think everyone is rather pleased with the result.

Knowing the problems encountered, I feel that all of those who collaborated on the project have reason to be proud of the accomplishment. I join with you in being appreciative of the contribution of your past President, Mr. Douglas Orr.

Very sincerely yours,

HARRY S. TRUMAN

Mr. Glenn Stanton,
President,
