 December 21, 1998 Christmas gatheringIn December of 1947 Harry Truman's brother didn't come to the Christmas gathering at the White House. He wanted to have his family at the farm. Truman's sister, Mary Jane, did come, along with all Bess' brothers and their wives and two children which he noted as being "a couple of very disrespectful young people."
