WhistleStop Campaign 1948
       Sandusky, Ohio

Judy Gerlach e-mailed us that when President Truman arrived in Sandusky all the school children walked over to see him. Since there was no television in 1948, they were lucky to get to see him. She told us that children were not allowed to wear shorts or jeans, and the girls were not allowed to wear slacks.
