Airplane

  One invention that would greatly affect Harry Truman's life and all people was the airplane. The airplane was first invented in 1903 by the Wright Brothers. Do you know how old Harry was that year?? Hint: less than 20!!

  Even Harry preferred walking as his most pleasureable means of transportation, the airplane was used by this president in several significant ways. One way was his visits to foreign countries. Another way was the use of the plane for the atomic bomb drop. Also the plane was successfully used to drop food and supplies in Germany during the Berlin Airlift.

  During his early presidency, The Presidential Plane was named the Sacred Cow. It was replaced by a new plane, called Independence:
