The Atomic Bomb

The inventor of the atomic bomb was Enrico Fermi. He invented it in 1942. At that time the United States was at war with Japan. President Truman made a very serious decision to use the bomb on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasoki. The dropping of the atomic bomb killed thousands of Japanese civilians, but put an end to World War II.
