The Television

A man by the name of Philo Farnsworth invented the television in 1935. The television station beams electronic signals called electro magnetic waves. The television set changes these waves to pictures and sound. Harry S. Truman was the first president to speak on television. Truman had a television in his Oval Office. Look at how small the screen really was! Today 77 million or 98% of the homes in the U.S. have at least one TV.
