The Invention of the Piano

One invention that affected the life of Harry S. Truman was the piano. The piano was invented by John Chickering in 1840. The piano benefits people by the beautiful music that entertains people. When you press on a piano key, a wooden hammer hits a string inside the piano that creates a musical tone. The first piano just had strings! You had to pluck the strings with your fingers and it would hurt!

Harry enjoyed playing the piano at a young age and took lessons. He continued to play as an adult.
