FEATURED CLASS FOR JANUARY 11-- JANUARY 24:

Ms. Joan Spreitzer's Resource Classroom
Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders
Richardson Elementary
Lee's Summit,
Missouri School District

Ms. Spreitzer's class is made up of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. We are a resource classroom. We are very proud to be included in Project WhistleStop. We have enjoyed working on many different kinds of projects so far this year.

We have compared different types of research strategies to see what works best for us. We have discovered that we really like using the Internet, but it is not always the quickest way to find an answer.

Since we all come in for different subjects, we have done individual projects. A couple of people have worked on a school web page. One person researched the area of the Nile river in ancient Egypt, another person did a Power Point Program on ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, and some of us did Power Point Programs on skills like Self- Discipline and Respect for others.

Some of us worked on the Fifty Years Ago Today Project. It was pretty hard work, but we succeeded in finishing the project. We learned alot about President Truman.

It has been a fun year so far. Thanks Project WhistleStop.
