Of course, the United States was not alone in using posters to communicate important war information. Other nations used posters in much the same ways to motivate their populations in support of their own war efforts.

Posters were used by our allies and by our enemies, and their messages were tailored for the needs of each particular country. But many universal themes also appeared in the posters of friend and foe alike.
