ACCRETION DESCRIPTION
This accretion consists of a new subseries, the Files of Elmer Staats.
Staats, formerly the Comptroller General of the United States, served
as treasurer of the Truman Centennial Committee. The subseries contains
correspondence, memoranda, and other materials documenting the activities
of the committee and the planning of events to commemorate the Truman
centennial.
