Summary: In early December 1947, President Truman made his third visit to his vacation home at Key West, Florida. While in Key West, Truman visited the Everglades and spoke at the ceremony dedicating the site a National Park on Saturday, December 6th. He also had the opportunity to speak with some Seminole Indians, who presented him with an handcrafted Native American shirt and shopping bag. |
