Summary: As usual, President Truman did a certain amount of work while he was on vacation. Right in the midst of his vacation, on March 14th, Truman flew to Washington, D. C., and the next day flew to New York City to attend an awards luncheon for the student editors of school publications given by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. He delivered a speech that was carried over the radio and television, the text of which is reprinted in the trip log. |
