The following were present: Donald H. Dunn, Commander, D. C. Dept. of DAV William T. Slattery, Senior Vice Commander Leona Virginia Leonard, aged four Laura Helen Leonard, aged three Mr. Walter E. Leonard, (father of Leona and Laura) (This opened the campaign in the District of Columbia and actually is publicity for Campaign throughout country which opens on varying dates from this date on.) 1:00 pm (Lunch) 3:40 pm (Mr. Henry Dockweiler) 4:30 pm AT THE WHITE HOUSE: The President received the Chief Justice [Fred Vinson] and the Associated Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States.
