the President's letter to Prime Minister Attlee
on Palestine situation, there had been numerous
and serious repercussions - many members of the
American Council for Judaism are greatly alarmed
by what they believe the consequences of your
statement may be as it affects those Jews dwelling
in Palestine today, * * * * "the American Council
for Judaism are unalterably opposed to the
establishment of an independent national Jewish
State in Palestine or elsewhere.")
