(They brought the President a turkey for
Thanksgiving, supplied by Wilton E. Hall,
Publisher of the Anderson Independent and Daily
Mail. The Turkey was dressed and was from
Hall's farm, famous for its turkeys.)

12:15 pm (Mr. Irving Pflaum, Foreign Editor, Chicago Times)
(Mr. Pflaum wrote Mr. Matthew Connelly that he was
coming here for Overseas Press Club Dinner and
as he had not seen the President since he spoke
in Chicago, was anxious to have a few moments
with him. Came in "off record" through the
East Entrance)
