persons interested in organizing a Citizens Committee
to educate our people to the necessity of universal
military training. They are holding a meeting here
on October 23rd and 24th. Invitations were sent
to officers of over 100 national organizations
inviting them to have their representatives
participate in formation of Citizens Committee for
National Security. This is not exact title, and they
have not settled on one as they do not wish to
limit themselves to universal military training
but to educate on entire program envisaged by the
Compton Report, with emphasis now on passage of some
such bill as the Towe Bill as an essential immediate
step towards entire goal.) |
