early appointment this week)
11:30 am Honorable William Lupton, Mayor of Niagara Falls,
N. Y.
(Paul Fitzpatrick phoned Mr. Matthew Connelly last week from
Buffalo, to ask if the Mayor could come in and
talk to the President about issue of a commemorative
stamp at Niagara Falls about August 1, 1948, to honor
100 years of peaceful relations between the United
States and Canada, which began with opening of first
suspension bridge over Niagara Falls.)
11:45 am (Mr. Sid T. Tudor, of Sacramento, Calif.)
(Phoned Mr. Matthew Connelly to say he used to work with
the President in Independence, and would like to
come in and say "hello". He is now employed with
Geological Survey)

(Mr. Plamback is with Radio Station WHO at Des Moines,
and came here for meeting of Radio Farm Directors,
who will see the President at 12.45. Jake More,

order to hand the President invitation to attend
National Plowing Match and Soil Conservation Day
in Iowa.)
