    A plea for support for the food saving program of the Citizens Food Committee, to provide food to send to starving Europe. This television and radio address concluded a program by the Citizens Food Committee, October 5, 1947. It was delivered by President Truman from the White House at 10:50 p.m. This was the first address of its kind ever televised from the White House. This film was apparently photographed from television.
